Jagi Panda becomes 1st Woman Chairperson of CII Eastern Region

ONI Bureau: Jagi Mangat Panda, the Co-Founder of OTV and Managing Director of Ortel Communications, has been elected as the new Chairperson of CII’s Eastern chapter for 2018-19. She becomes the first woman to become the Head of CII’s Eastern Region.

Jagi Panda, who has more than 15 years of experience in the broadband and broadcasting industry, is the leading woman entrepreneur of Odisha. She leads OTV, the No. 1 News Channel of Odisha, which is way ahead of other channels in the state.

An alumni of IIM-Ahmedabad, Jagi Panda was awarded as the “Young Global Leader” at the World Economic Forum in 2008. She is the wife of Kendrapara MP Baiijayant ‘Jay’ Panda.
