Journalists protest assault on Lady Journo by Traffic Cop

Insight Bureau: Protesting against the alleged assault on Working Journalists Sumit and Bijaylakshmi of leading Odia Daily ‘Dharitri’ by traffic police in Bhubaneswar on a petty argument, the journalists have gone on a strike in front of Soochana Bhawan near AG Square.

DCP Satyabrata Bhoi rushed to the spot to pacify the journalists and assured quick action following verification. The journalists have withdrawn their agitation after getting the assurance, but lodged FIR against the traffic cop.
