JSPL celebrates 2nd International Day of Yoga with mass yoga session

JSPLJindal Steel & Power Ltd (JSPL) celebrated the Second International Day of Yoga with a mass yoga session participated by hundreds of employees with their family and people from the local villages. The session was organised under the guidance of Yoga Guru Swami Satyabindu Saraswati at Jindal Nagar today early in the morning.

Executive Director and Location Head of JSPL, Mr. Dinesh Kumar Saraogi, Chief Technical Officer and Executive Director Mr. Sabyasachi Bandyopadhyaya, Executive Director Projects Mr. Bharat Rohra graced the occasion and participated in the Yoga session.

Addressing on the gathering Mr. Saraogi said “We understand the value of Yoga and for which our management has decided to imbibe this practice into our daily life. I am sure, the employees, their family members, students of various schools and the villagers of our periphery are being benefited by practicing yoga through camps organised with the support of JSPL”.

JSPL-YogaYoga Guru Swami Satyabindu Saraswati guided the participants with different yoga postures and explained its benefits. More than Hundred regular yoga practitioners were awarded with certificate of appreciation for their dedication and determination towards Yoga. Appreciating JSPL’s efforts to promote yoga, Swami Satyabindu Saraswati said, “There are only few corporate in India where you will find such kind of noble culture. Practicing Yoga is as necessary as doing your profession. Let’s pledge to take Yoga as a part of your profession to achieve excellence in your career and life”.

Mrs. Sujata Saraogi, the President of the Jindal Mahila Samiti along with its members, also participated in this Yoga Camp organized under leadership of Mr. C.D. Mathew, Vice-President (HR&ES) and his team.

OP Jindal School and DAV Savitri Jindal School situated at Badamahitala R&R also observed the day with a yoga session participated by its students and teachers.

JSPL, pursuing its mission to augment the quality of life of the local community, has been organising regular yoga sessions for the villages in the locality.
