JSW to set up 10 mt Steel Plant at Rs 50,000 crore in Odisha

JSWThe Odisha Investors’ Meet 2016, organised in Bengaluru was an attempt to encourage investments in IT, engineering, transportation, telecom, aviation, defense and other sectors.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today said the meet aimed at placing the state among the three top startup hubs in the country by 2020.

After a high level discussion with Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, JSW Steel CMD Sajjan Jindal on Friday expressed interest in investing Rs 50,000 crore to set up a 10 million tonne capacity steel plant in Odisha.

Notably, JSW Steel has become India’s second largest private sector steel company having the current installed capacity is of 18 million tonne per annum.
