Justice KS Jhaveri named new Chief Justice of Orissa High Court

ONI Bureau:  With the Orissa High Court Chief Justice Vineet Saran moving to the Supreme Court, the SC collegium has recommended Justice K.S. Jhaveri to fill his place.

The Supreme Court collegium on Friday reiterated its recommendation to elevate Justice K.M.Joseph – the Chief Justice of Uttarakhand High Court, Justice Indira Banarjee – the Chief Justice of Madras High Court and Justice Vineet Saran – the Chief Justice of Orissa High Court to the Supreme Court.

Jhaveri J. was made an additional judge of the Gujarat High Court in 2004 and became a permanent judge in 2005. Later, Jhaveri was transferred to Rajasthan High Court in August, 2016.
