Insight Bureau: The Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar, will remain closed for public from November 16 in the wake of preparations for the FIH World Hockey League (WHL) finals, which would kick off from December 1.
The ongoing construction activities at the stadium, will also be stopped during the same period. It is not immediately known when the stadium will open to public again.
During the World Hockey League, visitors would enter and exit the stadium through 6 gates. Players of 10 countries, including India, Australia, Argentina, England, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany and Spain will take part in the hockey league (Dec 1-10).
Germany will take on England, while India will take on Australia in Group B matches on Dec 1.
