Kandhamal Killings: Congress Adhikar Yatra Concludes today

The five-day Kandhamal Adhikar Yatra initiated by the Congress in Kandhamal district will conclude today at Baliguda.

The Adhikar Yatra launched by the Congress to protest against the State Government’s failure in providing justice to the family members of the five innocent villagers, who were killed in firing by SOG personnel on July 8.

The Party activists will took out a procession from Mahasingh Thakurani temple to Baliguda Town, where they would hold a mass protest meeting.

As many as 10,000 party activists from various blocks in the district would join the Padayatra and the meeting.

Around 10 platoon of police force have been deployed at various strategic locations to prevent any onward situation. Besides, 30 police officials, including the Baliguda SDPO, have been entitled to maintain law and order.
