Kharif Paddy Procurement date extended till April 30 in Odisha

State Government on Tuesday extended the Kharif season paddy procurement deadline to April 30 in Odisha.

The paddy procurement is underway at 29 districts in Odisha.  Around 17.45 metric tonne paddy worth Rs 2,562 crore have been procured till date.

Notably, the Centre has given permission to the State Government to undertake the paddy procurement process till April 30, proposed by the State government earlier.
