Khelo India School Games: Odisha Boys win Gold in Hockey

ONI Bureau:  Odisha clinched the men’s boys hockey gold after a 2-1 victory over Punjab while Haryana bagged the girls’ title after beating Jharkhand at the Khelo India School Games-2018 in New Delhi on Thursday.

Meantime, Odisha’s girls football team defeated West Bengal 8-0 to clinch Bronze.

Odisha’s medal tally goes up to 9 with 3 gold, 1 silver and 5 bronze in the Khelo India Games-2018.

While, Punga Soren bagged gold medal in the boys 110m hurdles, Bhaktaram Desti Gold in 50 Kg Weightlifting, Sneha Soren bagged Silver in 48 Kg Weightlifting, S.R. Sahoo Nigam won Bronze in 63 Kg Boxing and Nandan Sahu bagged Bronze in 77 Kg Weightlifting.

Likewise, Pratyasa Ray won Bronze in 200m Back Stroke Swimming and again bagged a bronze in 100 mt Girls’ Backstroke Event.
