Koraput Jilla Krusak Kalyan Manch calls 12-Hour Jeypore Bandh

Jeypore, Nov 20: Normal life affected in Jeypore town of Koraput district due 12-hour bandh called by Koraput Jilla Krusak Kalyan Manch on Friday. Demanding payment of dues of Rabi paddy procurement to farmers, the Manch member called the strike.

Following the strike, shops and commercial establishments were closed on Friday. Vehicles plying were stopped in the town as a result many passengers stranded on roads.

Congress leaders of the district under the aegis of Koraput District Congress extended their support the bandh called by the Manch. Jeypore MLA and Congress Chief Whip, Tara Prasad Bahinipati told media that all the MLAs of Koraput district would extend support the bandh which is in the interest of farmers. He said the district administration should pay the dues to farmers.
