Koraput Stone Quarry Mishap: Body of a worker recovered after 11 days

ONI Bureau: Eleven days after, the body of one of the two JCB operators was recovered on Sunday who got trapped inside the stone quarry near Telengir Irrigation Project at Bariput in Koraput district.

As per the sources, Ghanshyam Guru and Sanjay Dash, both drivers of JCB machines of Deogarh district, were excavating earth on May 31 evening when the hill caved in. Both the drivers were trapped under a heap of boulders along with their machines.

Personnel of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), Odisha Disaster Rapid Action Force (ODRAF)  and technical teams were unable to remove stones with the available equipment.
