‘Lagna’ for ‘Nuakhai’ festival finalized

ONI Bureau:  Brahmapura temple pandit mandali of Sambalpur on Monday finalised the ‘Lagna’ of Nuakhai at the temple premises on the occasion of Nandautsav.

Reportedly, the ‘lagna’ for offering Navanna to Maa Samaleswari, the presiding deity of Sambalpur in western Odisha has been fixed for 8:10 AM & 8:40 AM on September 14.

Nuakhai, the mass festival of western Odisha meant to offer ‘Navanna’ to their presiding deity and Goddess Laxmi as a mark of gratitude for a bumper harvest.
