Lakhs of devotees witness ‘Naba Joubana Darshan’ at Puri today

Lakhs of devotees rushed to Puri today to see ‘Nabajoubana Darshan’, the first glance of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra, after remaining ill for the last 15 days.

The devotees will get darshan of the three deities on the eve of ‘Nabajoubana Darshan’, a day before the world famous Car Festival.

Among the rituals of the deities ‘Banakalagi’ ritual, ‘Mangala Arati’, ‘Mailam’ and ‘Abakasha Niti’ will be performed. The devotees will be able to get two types of darshan of the deities. One is Paramanik darshan and the other is Sarbasadharana darshan.

Security arrangements have been made at Puri for the Nabajoubana darshan in Shree Jagannath Temple.
