Last Coordination Committee Meeting of Ratha Jatra concludes

ONI Bureau:The fourth and final Ratha Jatra Coordination Committee meeting, chaired by Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik concluded peacefully today. CM asks to take measures to conduct a peaceful and hassle free Ratha Jatra in Puri.

Ministers Ashok Panda, Pratap Jena & Maheswar Mohanty, Chief Secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi, SJTA Chief, DGP Rajendra Prasad Sharma and other Police offficials were attended the meeting.

Construction of chariots, timely completion of rituals to devotee were discussed during the meeting. Issues of health, sanitation, roads, drainage, drinking water, electricity, accommodation, law and order situation were also reviewed during the meeting.

About the security arrangements, DGP RP Sharma said that 140 platoons of police force will be deployed for the Chariot Festival that will be held from July 14 to 23.
