Lawyers intensify stir, lock up main gate of Orissa High Court

ONI Bureau:  A day after the Supreme Court on Thursday directed the Orissa High Court lawyers to withdraw agitation and resume court work, lawyers of Orissa High Court today locked up main gate of the Court, demanding arrest of accused involved in the attack on advocate.

They burnt effigies of Chief Justice of India and Chief Justice of Orissa High Court in response.

The Orissa High Court is not functioning as lawyers have been observing cease-work strike since August 30, demanding arrest of police officers following the attack on a lawyer on August 28.
