Licence mandatory for Hotels organising New Year parties

ONI Bureau:  To avert untoward happenings and to ensure safety, security of citizens on the New Year eve in Cuttack and Bhubaneswar, measures have been undertaken by Twin City Commissionerate of Police.

In this regard, DCP offices have issued instructions to hotels to apply for licence to hold any event for celebrating New Year.

DCP’s Permission and licence from respective DCPs of Cuttack and Bhubaneswar is mandatory for hotels for Zero Night celebrations.

However,  licences will be issued in the name of the management of the concerned hotel and no third party licence will be issued for Zero hour celebrations, Twin City Police Commissioner YB Khurania informed on Tuesday.
