Bhubaneswar: Country-made, desi and locally brewed alcohol shall be accessible in stores or counters from tomorrow informed the Excise Department government of Odisha.
The state government had resolved to home deliver liquor from July 2. But, it is to be noted that the stores or counters will not be opened in containment zones.
The Odisha government had raised the cost of liquor by 50 per cent termed as “COVID Tax”, the incomes of which would be utilised for the treatment of COVID victims.
The doorstep distribution can be done from 7 AM to 6 PM subject to the guidelines of lockdown rules published by the local authorities, said an announcement issued by the State Excise Department.
