With no relief from the rising cases of COVID-19, the Odisha Government, on Tuesday, announced extension of lockdown till June 1. The decision was announced by Chief Secretary Suresh Chandra Mahapatra.
- During the lockdown period, the public will be allowed to purchase essentials between 7am and 11am.
- Weekend shutdown will continue
- Healthcare facilities and delivery of food to remain open
- Educational institutions, shopping malls and religious places will remain closed.
- Gatherings at weddings restricted to 25 and cremations at 20.
