Low pressure to trigger more rain from Sep 20

ONI Bureau: The Regional Meteorological Department (IMD) today predicted heavy rainfall across Odisha on September 20 and 21 as a fresh cyclonic circulation formed over the east-central Bay of Bengal is likely to intensify into a low pressure.

However, Met Department predicted lightning in Sundergarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Bargarh, Deogarh, Angul, Keonjhar, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Kandhamal, Malkangiri & Koraput till 4.30 PM today.

Likewise, thunderstorm, lightning & moderate rainfall forecast at one or two places over Ganjam, Gajapati, Koraput, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi & Malkangiri till 5.30 PM today.

Earlier, fishermen are advised not to venture into the sea frrom 16th to18th September as IMD predicted rain round 18th September as IMD predicted rain round 18th September.
