Mahanadi Row: BJD holds unique protest against BJP in Bhubaneswar

The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) upped the ante against the ruling BJp at the centre over the issue of construction of barrages on Mahanadi River by holding a unique protest in Bhubaneswar today.

The BJD workers led by senior leaders such as Priyadarshi Mishra, Bijay Mohanty and Pravat Biswal, brought waters from Mahanadi River in Cuttack and poured them on the posters of Chhattisgarh CM Dr. Raman Singh, Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Union MoS Water Resources Sanjeev Balyan and state unit President Basant Panda.

The BJD leaders said that they had to use Mahanadi water to purify the leaders, who made a sin by acting against Odisha’s interests and its pride Mahanadi.

They vowed to intensify their agitation if Chhattisgarh does not stop misusing Mahanadi River.
