Mahanadi Row: Orissa High Court asks Centre, State to submit Report

The Orissa High Court on Tuesday asked the Standing Counsels of the Centre and the State Government to submit their positions over Mahanadi river issue within ten days.

Seeking judicial intervention, Mahanadi Bachao Manch filed a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) in High Court over the Mahanadi dispute between Odisha and Chhattisgarh government.

Notably, the Chhattisgarh government claimed that they had already sent all the facts to the Odisha government regarding the construction of barrages.

But the Odisha government said that they have not received any letter from Chhattisgarh government regarding the Mahanadi projects.
