Main Accused Arrested In Sukinda ‘Gang Rape’ Case

In a joint operation with Kapilas police, Sukinda police arrested the main accused in the Sukinda gang-rape case from Kapilas in Dhenkanal.
The accused has been identified as Sabyasachi Beura.
The police were on a hunt to trace the accused after the father of the girl lodged a complaint. The accused was put on a mobile tracking which lead the police to trace him.
Locals on Thursday had protested by surrounding the Sukinda police station, demanding immediate arrest of the accused people involved in the alleged gang rape of the girl.

The ghastly incident had taken place on Wednesday evening. The girl’s father had named a relative of a former Minister and another youth for the alleged crime in the complaint lodged at the police staion.
