Maoists abduct Driver, set Truck on Fire in Malkangiri

MaoistsMalkangiri, Oct 12: Maoists set a truck on fire and abducted the driver of the truck on Monday afternoon on Odisha-Chhattisgarh border on Narayanpur in the district.

According to reports, the vehicle was on the way to Narayanpur from Munda, which was troched the vehicles by a groups of Maoists in the forest area.  Police rushed to the spot and started investigation into the incident.

It is noteworthy that,  a woman cadre was surrendered before police on Budh distirct, she was active member of Chhattisgarh naxal outfit. And, in September month, more than 800 Maoists supporters had surrendered before police.

Accoriding to police sources, Maoists have intensified their activies following surrendering of supporters and top cadres of the outfit. The other day Maoists attacked on combing security forces along the border. The insurgecy activities have been increased in the district after a gun factory was busted and weapons were seized by security forces during combing operation.
