Massive gain for BJP in 2nd phase of Panchayat Polls

BJP on Wednesday emerged as a major gainer in the second phase of Panchyat Polls in Odisha.

According to the latest report, though ruling BJD candidates are leading in maximum places, BJP only close to the ruling BJD in winning Zilla Parishads seats across the State.

As per the latest trend of second Phase Panchayat Polls, out of  175 zilla parishads seats BJD candidates are leading in 78 seats, BJP in 55 seats, Congress in 8 seats and others in 3 seats.

While BJD is leading in Boudh, Bhadrak, Koraput, Balasore, Puri, Khordha, Subarnapur, Dhenkanal, Cuttack, Ganjam, Nuapada, Keonjhar, BJP wave is continuing in Mayurbhanj, Malkangiri, Angul, Kalahandi, Bargarh, Bolangir district. Congress is leading in Jharsuguda.

Reportedly, there have a tough fight between BJD and BJP in Cuttack, Nabarangpur, Nayagarh and Kendrapara districts.
