Migrants tried to flee from a train heading to Odisha, police caught defaulters

When transients were being brought to Odisha in special trains from various parts of the nation, some of them hopped off a train supposedly after pulling the emergency chain at Majhika on the outskirts of Angul town last evening.

“The police have got seven transients on the endeavors to capture different absconders,” informed Angul SP Jagmohan Meena.

According to reports, the Shramik Special train hauling around 1200 Odia migrants from Ahmedabad in Gujarat was headed to Khurda Road Railway Station when at around 5 PM on Sunday, a few transients purportedly pulled the emergency chain and got down from the train. After getting the alert information, police hurried to the spot, and seven of them were hence grabbed with the assistance of certain local people, the reports said.

On being investigated, the migrants denied having pulled the alarm chain of the train and said that they got down while the train slowed down its speed near Majhika.
