Minister reviews Rabi Crop Procurement Arrangements

Bhubaneswar, June 1: This time Rabi crop would be procured from 19 districts in Odisha and the state government has made arrangements for smooth procurement. Around 1,75,336 farmers have been registered in the state, this information was given in a review meeting chaired by Minister of State Food Supplies & Consumer Welfare, Sanjay Kumar Dasburma at secretariat, today. The minister was informed that till date around 3.49 MT paddy procured in Odisha.

Reviewing the paddy procurement work in the meeting, the minister directed officials for the successful execution of Rabi crop paddy procurement in the 29 districts of Odisha. He also directed officials for make timely payment to the farmers those participate in the process. Minister also asked them to follow the instructions were issued over the paddy procurement. The procurement of Kharif crop was completed successfully in the state.
