Minister warns of Legal action against Block Grant teachers

Block-grant-teachersBhubaneswar, Sep 26: Debi Prasad Mishra, School and Mass Education Minister of Odisha has warned of stringent legal action against block grant teachers if they failed to resume schools from Monday. The teachers association has decided to continue their agitation. They have expressed discontent over the outcome of inter-ministerial level meeting on Thursday over demands.

However, the ministry has warned the teachers of block grant schools of legal action for not resuming schools from Monday.  The association has announced to go on ‘Padayatra’ in Hinjili constituency of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on September 28.

It is noteworthy that, around 4,000 block grant teachers have been on strike and studies of around five lakh students in the block aided schools have been affected due to teachers’ stir.
