Minor Rape Case: Odisha Man Gets 20 Years Jail Under POCSO Act
The POCSO Court in Nuapada district in Odisha has sentenced a man to 20 years in prison for raping a minor. He was also penalised a fine of Rs 15,000.
The incident dates back to 2018, when the convict Duryodhan Majhi of Chanamunda village convinced the minor of his village to drop her off to her relative’s place.
He took her to a nearby forest and raped her. The case was registered in December 2018.
