MoD rejects Odisha’s Tableau for Republic Day Parade 2018

ONI Bureau: People of Odisha won’t have thek opportunity to get a glimpse of state’s Tableau at the Republic Day Parade in New Delhi.

The Ministry of Defence (MoD) has rejected all 4 designs sent by Odisha, including one on ‘200 Years of Paika Rebellion’ and ‘Thakurani Yatra of Berhampur’.

Although the Tableau on Thakurani Yatra was appreciated by the Jury, it was rejected at the Ministry level for unspecified reasons.
