The Sri Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) has decided to provide Rs 5 lakh as insurance cover to all the devotees and servitors of the temple, in case of loss life within the administrative area of Puri Municipality, during Nabakalebara Rath Yatra, 2015. The insurance scheme will be available for any mishap between the periods of July 17 to July 30.
The SJTA chief Suresh Mahapatra said, “The temple administration will execute three different insurance schemes for the devotees and the servitors this year with public sector New India Insurance and has already paid the premium amount for the flagship scheme”.
“The insurance scheme will also be extended in case of any physical injuries”, he added.
It is expected that around 50 lakh devotees would throng the holy city of Jagannath Dham Puri during the world famous Nabakalebara Rath Yatra, 2015.
