Nagen Ray, Director of ‘Gapa Hele Bi Sata’ passes away

ONI Bureau:  Noted Odia film director Nagen Ray breathed his last at his residence at Shastri Nagar area in Cuttack last night. He was 82.

Nagen Ray is best known for his direction in first Odia colour film Gapa Hele Bi Sata which was released in 1976.

Ray also directed for the movie ‘Tapasya’, which got released in 1980.

Odia film industry mourned the sudden death of the 82-year-old director who is best remembered for its melodious song ‘E banara chai’.
