NALCO lodges FIR against Apollo Hospitals in Bhubaneswar

The National Aluminium Company (NALCO) has lodged a FIR against Apollo Hospitals, Bhubaneswar for allegedly misrepresenting facts and inflating medical bills of an employee. The FIR was lodged by Nalco Hospitals, Angul at the Sahid Nagar Police Station.

The FIR stated that a company employee, who was admitted to the Apollo Hospital, got a bill of Rs 5.86 lakh after being treated there for five days. The bill listed a medical equipment, used for surgery.

While Apollo Hospitals maintained that they procured the equipment from Vista Enterprises Ltd. in Kolkata, Vista denied it while replying to a query by NALCO. That forced the company to lodge a complaint. The police is investigating the matter.
