Narayan Sahu joined BJD to escape from Criminal Case: BJP

Insight Bureau: Hours after Narayan Sahu quit as Bargarh BJP President and met CM Naveen Patnaik at the Naveen Niwas, BJP spokesperson Sajjan Sharma levelled serious allegations against him, saying he embraced BJD to escape from criminal charges against his son.

BJD hit back, asking why the party never questioned it if there were such allegations and why senior BJP leader Suresh Pujari had called him a ‘right candidate’ for Bijepur bypoll.

BJP’s Odisha Unit President Basant Panda “sacked” Narayan Sahu from the party on disciplinary ground, saying he has not received his resignation letter yet. Dr. Arupananda Sahu has been appointed as the Bargarh BJP President.

Meanwhile, senior BJP leader Bijoy Mohapatra reacted to the development, saying BJP is infected with arrogant ‘Chakada Poka’ and the party wake up and do the needful to undo the damage.
