ONI Bureau: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has congratulated the Reserve Bank of India for incorporating Konark Wheel on the new Rs 10 note series.
“Filled with pride that the rich cultural heritage of #Odisha finds place in Nation’s currency. #Konark Wheel, the timeless symbol of our art and sculpture, is depicted in the new ₹10 currency note. Congratulate @RBI for incorporating the world famous Sun Temple motif in the note,” he tweeted.

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) introduced Rs 10 denomination banknotes bearing wheel of Sun Temple, Konark on the reverse, depicting the country’s cultural heritage.
The Rs 10 notes in the Mahatma Gandhi (New) Series, bear signature of Dr. Urjit R. Patel, Governor, Reserve Bank of India. The base colour of the note is Chocolate Brown.
