Naveen draws flak for not visiting Odia CRPF Martyr

ONI Bureau: The social media is abuzz with a lot of criticism of Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, who is being slammed for not going to Airport to pay his last respect to the martyr CRPF jawan from Odisha, Manoranjan Jena, who lost his life in the Maoist attack in Sukma, Chhattisgarh a few days ago.

Many posts and message ask how Naveen got time to pay respect to the dead body of Dileswar Sahoo, the driver of Minister Susanta Singh’s brother Subrat Singh, who was killed in political violence, but did not bother to rush to the Airport to pay homage to the son of soil, Manoranjan Lenka.

Some asked if only politicians, politics and votes matter for the BJD supremo and whether he visited Dileswar to get sympathy in Bijepur Bypoll, but skipped visiting the martyr as he would not get any votes for him.

Supporters of Naveen Patnaik argue that as the State Government had made all necessary arrangements to give state honours to the martyr jawan and it was not mandatory for him to go to the Airport personally. They also add that Naveen went to party office to pay respect to Dileswar Sahooo at the capacity of BJD President, not as the Chief Minister.
