Naveen forms Committee to overhaul Planning Process in Odisha

Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has formed a panel to prepare a roadmap for the overhaul of the planning process in India. Retd. Bureaucrat RN Das, would head the panel.

Development Commissioner Upendra Nath Behera and Additional Chief Secretary in the Finance Department, R Balkrishnan would be the members. There would be all-round efforts to reform the planning process at the state and district levels.

The Panel will study all aspects to make the process user-friendly and allow people at the ground level to be part of it. More opportunities will be created for the use of professional expertise in the process. The committee is expected to submit its report to the government by the first week of August.
