Naveen launches Rs 100 Cr ‘Mo School’ Campaign

Naveen-Mana-KathaInsight Bureau: Putting all curiosity and anxious moments into rest, Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik addressed the school children on the special occasion of Children’s Day and told them his ‘Mana Katha’ or his own version of ‘Mann Ki Baat’.

The message of this year’s Children’s Day celebration was “Ame Padhibu, Gadhibu, Srestha Hebu”.

CM Naveen Patnaik launched the Rs 100 crore ‘Mo School’ campaign, which seeks to connect everyone to their school, and their childhood memories. It will make people become an active participant in the development journey of their alma mater & be a part of the change they want to see in their school.

At the State Level Children’s Day celebrations at the Capital High School Ground in Bhubaneswar, organised by School & Mass Education Department, Naveen gives his mantra to all school children and asked them to stay ahead in all fields, including education, sports, music, social service etc.

Study well, be loyal and responsible towards parents and think about the village/town where you are born and brought up as well as the society and nation, tells Naveen to school children. He also asked them to become good human beings.

Naveen-ChildrenThe CM recalled the bravery of Madhu Babu and Biju Babu and urged the children to follow their footsteps. Naveen Patnaik has announced special scholarship has been announced for meritorious students at block level. Those, who score highest marks in Odia language, will get Rs 5,000 cash reward under Odia Bhasha Brutti Puraskar. 10 students in each block, will get the reward.

In addition, Rs 5,000 cash reward will be given to students under Mukhyamantri Medhabrutti Puraskar if they do well in Class X exams.  In total, 40,000 students will be benefited from this scheme. Teachers and their Parents will get special rewards if their wards do well in Class X exams.

Rs 1 lakh will be given to 3 best performing schools in each block. Teachers of 942 schools will be benefited from this scheme.

Around 4,500 school children from 24 schools were present at the occasion, while the CM’s speech was broadcast LIVE on all regional TV channels. Special arrangements were made at all block-level primary schools across Odisha to show his speech LIVE using TV and projectors.
