Naveen Patnaik cracks whip, asks Senior Ministers to keep quiet

BJD supremo and Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has finally broken his silence and reprimanded the senior Ministers Dr. Damodar Rout and Bijayshree Routray for speaking on the issue of Sanjay Dasburma. Naveen has asked the leaders to keep quiet.

The CM reportedly asked the senior leaders to come and talk to him if they have any issue. He further warned the veterans that no indiscipline would be tolerated within the party. The senior leaders unhappy that Naveen had backed the young Ministers while sidelining the senior leaders.

According to BJD Spokesperson Sashibhushan Behera, the CM has asked the Ministers to speak on issues relevant to their respective departments only. Spokespersons of the party have been authorised to speak on other issues.

Several senior leaders, including Dr. Damodar Rout, Nagendra Pradhan, Tathagata Satpathy, Bijayshree Routray, Prasanna Acharya, Bhartruhari Mahatab, Surendra Nath Nayak, Baishnab Parida etc. had dared to speak on the recent controversy surrounding Sanjay Dasburma.
