Naveen seeks Institute of National Importance status for NISER

ONI Bureau: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday requested the Centre to confer the status of Institute of National Importance on NISER, Bhubaneswar.

In a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Patnaik urged the PM to confer the status of national importance through an Act of Parliament.

“I would like to state that by dedicating the National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER) Bhubaneswar to the Nation, you have inspired the young scientists to cultivate innovation to serve the people. The Government of Odisha would also like to extend all possible support towards making NISER a world class institute”, Naveen wrote.
