Naveen seeks regular Air India Flight from Jharsuguda

ONI Bureau:  Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik requested the Government of India to introduce regular Air India Flight from Jharsuguda. However the State Government ready to give compensation for vacant sheets for one year.

It is to be noted that 118.75 acres of land given free of cost for establishment of this airport by State Govt. Odisha Govt also spent Rs 75-cr from State Budget out of the total cost of Rs 210 crore.

Modi today renamed the Airport in Jharsuguda as Veer Surendra Sai Airport  as requested by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and a resolution passed in the Odisha Assembly accordingly.

The CM also requested Prime Minister of India to give 50% of the urea produced to Odisha for the benefit of farmers. It will immensely benefit paddy farming which requires more urea.

Currently, Odisha gets urea from nearby states which often leads to delay and scarcity. The Talcher Fertilizer Plant will improve timely availability of urea in Eastern India and help our paddy farmers increase crop production, Naveen Patnaik said.
