Naveen speaks to Kejriwal over Odia Couple’s Suicide in Delhi

Naveen PatnaikOdisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has spoken to his Delhi counterpart Arvind Kejriwal over the shocking suicide of an Odia couple in Delhi, who ended their life last Wednesday following the death of their only child due to dengue.

Naveen has urged Kejriwal to take stringent action against the people responsible behind the tragedy. According to the reports, some top Hospitals in Delhi denied admission to Avinash Raut, the seven-year-old patient, his condition became critical and he could not be saved.

After Union Health Minister JP Nadda has already taken up this matter with the Delhi Government, which ordered a probe and issues notices to Max hospital in Saket, Moolchand Khairatiram Hospital in Lajpat Nagar, Saket City Hospital, Irene Hospital, Kalkaji and Aakash Hospital in Malviya Nagar to reply why their registration won’t be cancelled for not admitting the boy. A judicial probe has been ordered into the incident.

The Odisha CM has also announced a compensation of Rs 3 lakh to the kin of the bereaved family. He directed the Kendrapara Collector to include Avinash’s family in social welfare schemes.
