Naveen watches Hockey Match with 30 Surrendered Maoists

ONI Bureau: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has watched the quarterfinal match between India and Netherlands at the Kalinga Stadium tonight along with 30 surrendered Maoists from Malkangiri district.

They included 16 former women Maoist cadres. The CM was seen interacting with the surrendered Maoists. They were overwhelmed with the gesture and thanked the CM for transforming their lives and bringing them back to mainstream.

The CM left the stadium only after the India vs Netherlands match was over. India lost to Netherlands 1-2 and crashed out of the Hockey World Cup 2018.
