Naven Patnaik thanks Bijepur Voters; hails BJD Workers

ONI Bureau:  Expressing his deep gratitude to the people of Bijepur Assembly Constituency for having showered their blessings on BJD, Odisha Chief Minister & BJD President Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday said BJD lives in the hearts of the people of Odisha.

The people of Odisha are peace loving and have rejected the politics of hatred and violence and today’s victory will have impact on future elections, Patnaik added.

As known by the all BJD candidate Rita Sahu has won Bijepur Bypoll by defeating BJP’s Ashok Panigrahi by a margin 41,933 votes today as per figures after conclusion of all 21 rounds of counting.

BJD’s Rita Sahu bagged 1,02,871 votes while Ashok Panigrahi of BJP got 60,938 however Congress’s Pranaya Sahu lost his deposit with 10,274 votes.
