New Delhi-Bhubaneswar Vistara Flight hit by Bird, Passengers Safe

The passengers of New Delhi–Bhubaneswar Vistara-UK709 flight had a miraculous escape today after it was hit by a bird at an an altitude of 12,000 feet – 70 km away from the Biju Patnaik Internation Airport.

The flight was grounded immediately and passengers were evacuated safely. The return flight to Delhi was cancelled and alternative arrangements were made for the passengers.

The front part of the plane was slightly damaged in the accident. Repairing work may take another 3/4 days. The Airport authorities have decided to write to DDCA on this matter.
