NHRC seeks AIIMS reply regrading discharge of Jaga-Kalia

ONI Bureau: The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) on Wednesday issued show cause notice to AIIMS, Delhi regarding discharge of separated conjoined twins Jaga-Kalia from AIIMS.

The NHRC asked the authorities to submit ‘Action Taken Report’ within 4 weeks regarding the discharge of the twins.

Reportedly, a petition has been filed before the NHRC by a Human Rights activist, alleging that there are no proper infrastructures in Odisha to provide basic health facilities to Jaga and Kalia.
