Not joining BJD, will stay in Congress: Naba Das

ONI Bureau: Jharsuguda MLA and one of the 3 Working Presidents in Odisha Congress, Naba Kishore Das has dismissed the speculations that he is going to quit the party and join BJD soon. “There is not truth in the news. It’s completely false. I am abroad now and will return on October 10. I request everyone not to spread rumours about me,” he appealed.

Earlier, a photo of Naba Das and his family meeting CM Naveen Patnaik had gone viral on social media, fuelling speculations that they might join the BJD soon. Congress leaders were taken aback at this sudden news while Naba Das was not available to comment on it.

Meanwhile, the Odisha Congress has shortlisted 44 candidates for 2019 Assembly Polls. All 15 sitting MLAs including Naba Das have been retained.
