Odisha Lawyers meet Minister Dharmendra PradhanBhubaneswar, Sep 28: A delegation of lawyers met the Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Sunday here over the abolition of Odisha Admnistrative Tribunal (OAT) by the Odisha government. They urged the minister for the intervention of the central government into the matter of abolishing OAT in the state. Handing over a memorandum, the members of the delegation apprised that the OAT was essential for many employees to settle their grievances.

Assuring the lawyers, Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said that the he would discuss with the Union Minister for Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions, Jitendra Singh on Monday. Pradhan said the OAT has been playing significant role in addressing grievances related to personnel. Abolition of the tribunal would further delay in delivering judgment as many cases are being pending on courts, he added.
