Odia Language Chair to set up in JNU in name of Poet Sarala Das

Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today approved to set up an Odia Chair at the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) in New Delhi in the name of veteran Odia poet Sarala Das.

The Odia Chair would be set up under the Centre of Indian Languages.

Odisha Government has decided to grant of Rs 5 crore to JNU to set up the Odia Chair in Odia Language, literature and cultural studies.

The Odisha Culture department and JNU have signed an agreement today for setting up the chair at the Central University.
