Odiha CM directs Officials not to detain Ambulance during VIP Passage

CHIEF MINISTER SHRI NAVEEN PATNAIK REVIEWING ON ACTIVITIES OF RURAL DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT AT SECRETARIAT ON 2-6-2015.Bhubaneswar, Sep 19: In an endeavour to end VIP culture in the state, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Saturday directed officials not to detain ambulances during VIP movements on roads.

He said the lives of people are more important that VIP movement on the roads. He expressed his dissatisfaction over such incidents of detaining ambulances for VIP movements in past.

Patnaik also directed officials for special corridors for ambulances and asked them to take up construction of special ambulance corridors at major road crossing in state in the first phase.
