Odisha Announces Free COVID-19 Vaccine For People Above 18 Years
Odisha, on Sunday, joined other states as it announced free COVID-19 vaccine for people above 18 years. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik made the announcement.
As per records, around two crore people are eligible to get free vaccine in the state. Odisha will bear a cost of Rs 2000crore for the purpose.
Meanwhile, Odisha has decided to procure 3.77 crore doses of Covishield vaccine from Serum Institute.
The state will also procure 10.34 lakh doses of Covaxin from Bharat Biotech.
